Thanks for the reply's guys, I'm asking because i have a tilt column that i want to swap it out with but it does not have that plate sticking out of it, is it true that on tilts the plate is an internal detente?
I can add my shift lever is a little misaligned so maybe that bracket is suppose to slide up and down and its stuck in the up position?
