Yes it starts at the fuel pump and runs along the frame parallel to the 3/8" gas line all the way back to the top of the tank. 3/8" supply line, 1/4" return line. Here's a pic of my tank from LMC with the later V8 sending unit and both lines attached.

Do you have the vent lines at the top of each corner?
