New Rear Wheel Cylinder Installation
The R/R went fine, but when I went to install the L/R it would not seat. Upon a closer look, I finally realized that the "Ears" of the Cylinder (top left and top right of it above the threaded holes) were hitting the Stop Bar that crosses over the top of it.
In about 45 years of installing them now and then, I never ran into this. Of course years ago we had good quality US Made parts. The Cylinders I bought are Wagner's and I asked if they were US Made. Of course the answer was no, but my buddy at the parts store told me he would try to find some made in Mexico or Canada. No luck and the only ones he had were made in China.
It's a good 1/16 of an Inch over on both sides and I now have the choice of either filing it down or trying another one in exchange.
Anyone out there ever run into this problem?
