JJ, Just an FYI that we're using the Holley HP EFI system on my LS.
It's a little pricey but Mike is crediting me back for the factory EFI controller, harness, etc. that was bought along with my engine/trans. It will allow us to tune the engine without paying the $500 license for the first time it goes on the dyno and the extra about $100 he has to pay every time we need to go back on the software to make minor changes like idle speed, timing changes, fan temperature cut in/out - if i were using electric fans, etc.

I haven't explored it yet but it SEEMS like it will answer a lot of questions. I'm pretty clueless about EFI and it won't make me proficient, but I want to at least understand the basics.
