Why are you replacing the spindle? These don't just ware out??

Wrap a chain around the spring-loose so that it can expand, yet tight so that it doesn't fly out of the pocket!!! Put a jack securely under the lower control arm. Loosen the ball joint nuts a bit, whack the pickle fork a few times on upper and lower so that both ball joints loosen up (allowing the spring to do the work) unbolt the lower ball joint nut and SLOWLY let the jack down. This is easy once you get the hang of it. Be careful!
