It's ancient. The balcony still has barrels of Civil Defense water and food for when they drop the big one. It has a hardwood floor and has seen more basket ball and volley ball games than you could count, plus the arts for the county fair.



It's on the chopping block, though. The county is gonna rebuild the fair grounds and the Quonset hut ain't part of the new plan. I'll hate to see it go.

We used to have a q-hut in the back of our high school
They kept all the sports equipment in it because it was out, close to the fields
During one of the expansions, it just disappeared
I think it was around the same time they decided to fill in the community's swimming pool.
Now for 10-20 years a community group has tried to get a new pool built to without success

I can't find a pic of the building,but I think the people were still dressing like this when they tore it down. Sometime shortly after I graduated from the HIgh school
