I am looking for an article on how to rebuild the STEERING COLUMN of a 1971-2 truck. I have a1967 GMC with a 350 Chev engine. I pulled the original four speed manual and have fitted a TH700R and have acquired a 1971-2 AUTOMATIC steering column. I have pulled it apart and cleaned/painted everything but think I am missing a few parts. Not lost, they weren't there to start with. I've looked at the OP's Workshop Manual and it covers the manual and power boxes, pumps, control valves, etc. but not the steering column itself.
Can any one help me please?
