My thinking was (Correct me if I'm wrong) but even with the S10 swap you still are rebuilding control arms , or replacing them with tubular.

Still not a fan of the whole wheel spacer thing, still need a rear end.

S10 doner trucks I've found still require a COMPLETE tear down, Sell or scrap all the left overs. you're right , the price of a decent S10 is half the price for all the ebay stuff.

I am deciding this week , one way or the other. I appreciate all the input.

Crew cab constantly has notes left on windshield with potential buyers, Kinda fun hearing some of the offers.
I'll +1 for an S10 frame. If for no other reason than available replacement parts. Pull in to an auto parts store in any town in America, and they probably have S10 gear. Spacers, that can be addressed with backspacing if you don't like spacers. Keep this in mind, many OEMs use spacers for front 2wd dually applications.

I'm ok with either way, but I chose S10 for my build due to lack of aftermarket for 1 ton AD frames, and ease of replacement parts.

If you were closer I'd make a silly offer on your crew cab too!
