BB oil pan indentations - need info.

This post/question might be more relevant in the engine/drive train section but there seems to be more such traffic here and I need info quickly.

Am finishing a trans/clutch, new rear main seal and oil pump check on a 402 BB and am cleaning the oil pan before paint/install. I have never removed/inspected a BB pan before, so am uninformed. This one has some indentations and I don't know which ones may be factory design and which are PO dents that should be banged out.

Does the normal BB pan have an indent (about 3") immediately next to the drain plug (on bottom of pan toward the center and running lengthwise) and is the shallower part of the pan supposed to have a small oblong indent crosswise - and past it a small round indent - both centered on the midline?

Thanks for any quick insight.
