700r4 starter question
Hey guys my first post on here. I need some help, I have a 67 c10 stock 283. Was a 3 on the tree. I purchased a 700r4 from monster. So far everything has went smooth. I went to parts store and bought a starter for an automatic truck they gave me part number R713240B I get it home it doesn't fit, the outside hits the flexplate. My question is what starter do I need or did they give me the wrong starter? I have a 168 tooth flexplate if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
