This is a factory 4 wire switch that was used in the later trucks beforr they went to column mounted dimmer switch columns. It's the only NOS one I have ever had, and before anyone asks, no, it's not for sale.

Yup, that's the same switch. Not sure what year it is, but it was a factory 3 wire switch, and was under the impression it was an original 67-72 piece (not that it matters). I removed the guts and swapped out the internals for late model 4 wire.
Again, the wiring schematic I posted of the 4-wire switch above with CORRECT colors was for the OP to have something to reference to when checking his aftermarket one. Most aftermarket companies use GM wiring colors as standard, and chances are pretty good that his aftermarket switch will work perfectly without the need of relays (assuming his switch is normally open)
A quick check with an Ohm meter will answer this question.
