Went to the city today... put a bunch of miles on the truck and figured I'm getting real close to 14 mpg. I didn't know that was possible in one of these old trucks. Blowing some oil out of the the rear seal and pan gasket. Probably park it in the shop when the snow flies and the salt is scattered, pull the engine and replace a bunch of gaskets. I think I'll have a look at the cam sprocket and timing chain.
Haven't come up with a name for the truck yet, I know some guys think that's goofy.
When I bought the truck it had an ash tray full of quarters. Car wash score. Underneath all the quarters was a roach...the heavily resinated kind.
