OK, not a tricked out motor, but a very dependable, and in some rpm ranges, torquey as hell 250 inch motor. Damn thing loves to climb hills. It's in a '65, but as near as I can tell, it's about a '69 or '70 motor by the casting numbers.
This was in my truck when I got it. When I replaced the valve cover gasket, was amazed by how clean it was inside- no sludge at all. It may be a Jasper motor ( a motor rebuilding company) , don't know, but it uses no oil at all.
I've grown to really like it, especially the sound.
Some day I'll doll it all up.
