Classic Instrument clusters do need wiring. They need input from oil sender, temp sender and dash lights wired as well as VSS input from trans and tach signal from ign coil. They also need speedometer and tach calibration which is clearly stated in the instructions provided by the company with the cluster.

If you want to have a stock style tach cluster built, I can do that for you if needed.
