If one doesn't have the equipment, one has
no business changing a split rim tire. This goes for a whole pile of automotive operations. I will admit to reaching under a suspended engine to free up some hardware in the past. I also know people who have had parts of their body crushed doing the same thing. I wised up while my luck still held.
