if you buy a newer CB personally I am a big fan of the Uniden Bearcat 980, had one in my semi, was a good talking radio, was running it with the right coax matched for the Firestick II antennas, it worked really well.

I also really like the CB/PA button, it is really nice to have a PA system sometimes.
