Re: Help with gluing interior vinyl door panels
Ok. So I'm going to order the Hi temp shown above. In the mean time I figured I would do a public service for everyone and try a few other products.
1. 3m 77 no go at all. Doesnt work. Stays sticky and gooey mess on everything and vinyl just falls off with warm garage.
2. 3m headliner glue. Does not work at all gluing vinyl to vinyl. Worked better with vinyl to steel but still peels right off in a rubbery film.
3. JB superweld. Actually looks and smells like super glue. Dries hard like superglue. Vinyl to steel was a strong bond and tore vinyl when removing. Vinyl to vinyl was ok but not real strong. This comes in small quantity and would not be a good option for such a large area.
4. Liquid nails- vinyl to vinyl did not work. Vinyl to steel peeled right off.
May buy 3m 90 and complete the waste of money but question will be closer to answering!
The 3m headliner may work for the face of the panel and then the jb weld for the foldover part. Once screwed to door may be ok.
