Then did some significant carnage to my transmission hump. Neither the NV4500 shifter or the ORD twinstick shifters came close to going into the original holes in the hump.

The NV4500 shift tower comes up almost entirely behind, but in line with the hole for the SM465 shifter. The ORD twinstick shifters are off to the passenger side to the point that they barely clear the hole in the floor. This did allow me to maintain the mounting edge of the hump, but I'm really wondering how I'm going to mount the boot for these. I think I'm going to have to curve the mounting plate, but the angle on the boot??? Haven't tried a test fit yet though.
