Well, you wouldn't be using this one for farm work anyway. It's a protype, as far as I know. If it is, I'm surprised they didn't overdo it as prototypes usually are. This one looks like the first crack at it for the boys in the back rooms before refinement, just an assembled unit that operates. I tell ya, it wouldn't be hard for a guy to replicate in his garage these days. And that's what people were doing in '46, building doodlebugs. I think this thing was Chevy's factory-built answer to those, more than the 8N. They have no similarity. More like similar to an Economy or one of the other various home chore type tractors offered at that time.
