Re: 16" vs 15"

See with are truck Any wheel will fit.Cus we don't have large brake calibers. Now on new trucks you can't put a 15 or even a 16 inch rim on any of them.

If by chance your trying to get gas mileage. You have to go to the Transmission to fix that problem.

I to am running in to that problem.I have 1972 chevy C20 deluxe truck Just got done Putting in a roller motor with a stock RV came.I wanted a longevity motor that can get 350K to 500 K miles.

I'm running a stock th350.I'm planing on Putting in a 2007--2009 4L80E.Been told it has 5 gears with a lock up converter witch mean it has 6 gears.I'm probable getting 14-15 mpg Plus i'm running a 235/85/16 tire These tires get on average 200,000 miles to 250,000 miles per set Plus they Ride like caddylacks.

Getting the 2007-2009 4L80E with the TCI harness and computer will run you 700-800.00just for the stand alone computer another 600 to 1900 depending on if you want used or rebuilt new

so for 3900.00 will get you a drive shaft shortened an bounced Moving the Transmission cross member back. But for the gas mileage you will save and stating up with traffic.

An knowing that your truck goes up in value every year an there's goes down. Its a investment that you can live with
