Awesome truck! I believe if they say "highlander" on the spid they are typically saying "highlander plaid" or "avocado highlander" which is an upgraded seat cover option that could have been added to almost any truck or blazer in 72. The rest of the highlanders are promotional trucks (like your blazer) which came with different packages and options depending on what level you ordered. The spid on a promo truck will typically say "special promotional" and the RPO code to the left of the "special promotional" would determine what highlander package was ordered. Here is an excerpt from the first post in this thread:
In addition to the Highlander plaid trim your vehicle may ALSO have a Promo Package code.
These bundled options with the plaid trim for a cost savings in three packages "A", "B" and "C"
On the SPID they are coded:
YG6
YG7
YG8
Promo package codes.
A= YG6 Plaid Trim, Special Wheelcovers C10/K5 (PA1) or Chrome Hubcaps K10/K5(PO3), Door Edge Guards and Stainless Camper Mirrors (DF2).
B= YG7 (includes A) Adds Turbo-Hydramatic Trans., Power Steering and Tilt.
C= YG8 (includes A and B) Adds A/C and Tint.
Hope this helps,
