This kind of stuff doesn't annoy me too much. But it can be amusing. I think "Ran when parked" is a helpful description. That means whatever it needs to run now will be related to it's sitting spell. It means it was a running operating car that stopped being driven. They didn't stop driving it because of a blown head gasket, rod knock, bad rear, blown transmission, or any major mechanical issue. That is helpful information. The obvious reply to being told that would be, "Why was it parked?".

Funny, I never asked the seller of my 67 GMC 3500 why he parked this running truck 10 years ago! But it sitting all those years did it NO good.
