Kind of wondering about this myself as well. Mine's been dry a while and doesn't smell but I'd guess that a good soap and water "tank enema" may be prudent before hand.

I really dig this idea for storage though. Ive been racking my brain since I pulled the tank out only to have the solution sitting in the side yard the whole time.
