My quest to quiet down the running gear continues. I noticed this a while back but it sort of fell off my radar:
That seems excessive and I would imagine would create some noise when on/off the gas pedal. I pulled the cover off and that is not ring and pinion lash. When I turn the driveshaft the ring gear is moving, the axle shafts are not. I assume side gears and spiders is the next place to look?
