From the get go I've wanted this truck to be fun but practical. I had been debating about what to run for a transmission.
I had switched it over to a TH350 back in 94ish. That was ok, but I really like driving a stick. My 93 has a NV4500, and I like it, but the truck spread of ratios and that compound low aren't what I want in a hot rod.
I really want a fun to shift manual with overdrive. I had a friend in the Navy that had a 5.0 with a T5 and that was a fun car.
I was planning on my engine having around 350-400hp and a T5 would get expensive quick if I wasn't careful with the loud pedal.
I had saved up some money and gotten some Speedway gift cards recently so I pulled the trigger on this TKO500 when they were having their Xmas sale!
