Re: Lubricant for door hinges?
After this thread popped up, I decided to try to lubricate one of my doors that used to pop and be really difficult to close once it was fully open.
I used WD40 - I am not a huge fan of it normally, but so far on my truck, it has recovered my sticky hood hinges and kept them healthy for 6 months now, and the door that popped that I was sure I was going to rebuild the hinge on? Works perfectly. I am sure some of the heavier stuff works better, and I may apply a heavier wax containing lubricant (like bike chain lubricant for wet environments) but for now, WD40 saved the day.
