Looking at the Speedway videos, I counted the seconds that it took to engage the emergency brake. It took about 5 seconds after the button was pushed for the light to stop flashing. They show a stop from 25mph, but I imagine a significant part of that stop time was taken up with the linear motor actuation time.

Five seconds versus the almost immediate engagement of a hand lever or foot pedal concerns me a little. I wouldn't rely on the Speedway ebrake or my ebay claptrap to function as an emergency brake. Parking would be ok though
