It' pretty simple to maintain the proper flow of a closed PCV system even with after market components, if you recall how they were rigged when stock.
I have an Edelbrock 1404 on an Offy intake on my 292.
Clean filtered air is drawn into the air cleaner. Some is sucked thru a mesh filter inside on the bottom of the aircleaner, a 12'' round Moroso pan on top of the Edelbrock. And feeds air thru ~1'' diameter hose via a 90* plastic elbow that connects with the side grommet on the front of the valve cover.
Air is exhausted thru the PCV valve and flows into the 3/8'' port on the front of the carb.
