well, it really depends on $$. The 3" basic is just a stronger spring (compresses less, but it's the same height as the original one) and a ball joint spacer.

It was hard for the guy to get the alignment done b/c the geometry is changed. It drives pretty well. If it's just for the street, I think it's a good choice. Not sure if offroading would really make the long travel a better choice.
