Adding your experiences to a thread like this is what gives the forum a lot of value. Thanks. I ended up using a cheap generic Chinese 12SI that only lasted a year, and then a few months ago I got a Delco Remy CS144 alternator from the car parts store. The application for the car parts store computer was 1993 C1500 Cheyenne trucks, Optional Heavy Duty 124 Amp. It is USA made, with lifetime warranty.
