Re: 49 GMC Five Window

If injectors haven't sat for too long or were drained of fuel when removed, I've had good luck standing them up in a pan with about a quarter inch of Seafoam then pouring Seafoam in the inlet and letting it sit for a few days before installing them.

I didn't know the history of these injectors so I thought it best to have them professionally done. $18 per injector.

Next issue is the power steering rack. I had it rebuilt nearly six years ago and it's not been used. Filled it with PS fluid and it leaks like a sieve. Had a 'lifetime' guarantee.

Called the shop. He's still in business. Asked him about the guarantee and he said "You weren't supposed to leave it sit for six years - all the seals have dried up" and then he said "bring it down and we'll get it sealed up again for you" Wow. Someone who answers the phone, speaks so I can understand him and offers to make it right. Gotta love it, even if the rack is NFG.
