To be fair, your initial post was rather vague. You'll get a better response with sugar than piss and vinegar.. If someone asks for more details in the paint and bodywork forum, there's normally a good reason for it. How about just accommodate someone's request for more info and you may just find the answer you're looking for.
How does the bed profile align next to the cab? That's where any difference will show. perhaps make a profile template of the cab to get a good reading on how much (if any) that the front of the bed needs to move.
For moving, an axle puller hooked around that vertical upright, a hydraulic ram pushing from the underside, or if it were bolted down to the frame, perhaps a come-a-long pulling from a tree. Many ways to get it done, but it needs to match the cab.
