Re: First truck build '49 3100

Last weekend I got my fenders and hood down off the shelf so I could mock up the front sheet metal. I think my front suspension ended up right where it was supposed to be so I am pretty happy about that. Now of course I have to take all of the sheet metal off again to continue on with the frame to run fuel lines, brake lines etc.... It did feel great to see it looking like a truck though!
Does anyone have any ideas for stripping the primer off of the hood and doors? The guy I bought it from had them primed about 30 years ago because he was going to have the truck all re-painted. He said that he doesn't think that it was stripped to bare metal so ideally I would like to get the primer off to see what's underneath since I don't plan on painting the truck. I sanded a small part of the hood just to see if I could expose what's underneath but I was wondering if there was a faster way.
