Just a guess here. Maybe because these have been manufactured after market for so many years now the quality of a new less expensive piece is as nice or nicer than an NOS?
I was kind of surprised of the price of these too. But I know OP is well versed in selling parts of all types so I'm sure he priced accordingly.
