The grommets that you get from LMC are junk. They are the ones made in India and even if you get them to fit, they crack within the first year. When you measure the filler neck you need to measure it below the spout. Measure the tube itself just above the tank. That is what the grommet seals against. The 71-72 trucks, unless the tank has been changed, use the 1 1/2" grommet. We have plenty in stock if you need one. WES
