So the boy has been able to work on the truck the last couple of mornings. He has been focusing on stripping the bed sides. He got one side stripped and almost has the other. For some reason, they coated this thing in bondo before they painted it last time. In some places it is ridiculously thick. This is on the driver's side rear corner. That sucks having unexpected body damage like that. i would rather have the P.O. save time and not repair it than repair it wrong like that. Imo body filler should never be more than a skim coat to smooth out very small imperfections in the metal if its used at all.
