I was under the impression that the GMC trucks all used the same headlights, and none of them ever came with chevy headlights that could be found on a chevy truck in 2002.
Or are you saying that I should get a GMC truck from 2007, and it would be very easy to change over to the 02 Chevy front end?

There are at least three different looks for the T800 pickups. GM differentiated the GMC Sierra and the Chevy Silverado by changing the look of the front end.
The 1999-2002 T800 Silverado 1st design is this *
The 2003-2007 T800 Silverado 2nd design is this
The 1999-2007 T800 Sierra is this
The regular Suburban/Yukon/Tahoe SUV, Denali package, and Cadillac SUVs are yet more looks. I'm not sure how much of the underpinnings and sheet metal are interchangeable between the SUVs and Denali SUV and the pickup trucks without doing a full nose transplant.
* NOTE:
To further muddy the waters... you can find 2003 Silverado HD trucks with the 1st design sheet metal and lighting.
You at least have to swap the outer body panels and probably the forward lighting harness section from the fuse/relay panel to the lamps, horn, etc.
I'm unsure about whether you can mix and match the radiator support for different headlamps and sheet metal (hood, fenders, and grilles) but I wouldn't count on re-using your radiator support if you're swapping over.
I didn't like the front seat bottoms in the 99-02ish Silverado but the sheet metal looks good IMHO.
You can swap the later Red Silverado tails over to the Amber turn lamp sets GM used on the Early Silverado and both GMC Sierra models. I did this. You need the lamp pigtails from the distribution block to the tails as well as the lamps. See my 2005 build thread.
