My experience is with an AutoMeter tach, not the GM OEM, or the aftermarket copy.
For the record I'n not Andy. ANDY4639 --the guy in all RED-- is the OP, and it is his thread we are hijacking for Pertronix tricks. My first name is Brian, but I'm always '68OrangeSunshine on this forum.

Brian, Thanks for the feedback on the resistor/capacitor. For the purpose of documenting for others, I'll start another thread on the Pertronix (since I'm going to put a little pic together on how I wire mine.)

Andy, my apologies, no intention to hijack
But great info for those who have the tach and want to upgrade theirs (without having to wait for one from Brothers...which I'm beginning to think may be the issue based on Bad4wd' post )
