Thanks guys. Sinse the battery is handy right on the passengers side floor board I'm grounding my test light right on the battery. I've replaced the bulb with a new 1157. I pulled all the tape off the wires and pulled all the wire out of the loom and it all looks good as far as I can tell. I'll give the bulb socket another look tomorrow and probe the wires before the socket and see what I come up with.
