raising the post from the dead..

I'm doing the wiring now. On my ls harness the guy left a single lead for "fuel pump". There are three wires total going to the inside of the tank. One is an obvious ground strap but I'm unsure of the other two. Do you know which is which? one is purple and one is grey. One must be power for the pump and the other for the float to the gas gauge?
