Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

Hey DW. I noticed that is a 3Bar MAP. How much boost will you be running? ok....I am going to let the cat out of the bag.
I got a 2bar (from a Cobalt SS)because I am going to run less than 14PSI boost so the resolution is better in the tune with a 2 bar for me.
I am also going to convert to a blade style MAF since my motor is a Gen IV it is pretty easy from what I read. Still have to tune the MAF but no matter what our swaps are with any mods this needs or should be done.

As for the barb fitting, it was probably for the crank case vent in a stock config. Not sure but there are many different types of crank case vent routing applications based on the different motors, years, intakes, etc. On both my Gen IV motors the vacuum port is on the manifold right behind the TB. From what I seen the vacuum ports on an earlier Gen III are right on the throttle body. I am sure someone here can verify this. Does the instructions from MAG or the TB company say anything regarding this SC or TB on the different GEN motors? I know you are building a custom setup So NO real instructions.....
