You dont need to remove the head...at least right now...

By turning down the rocker adjusters so far, you are holding the valves open...

Get the engine set to TDC on compression...Back off the rockers on Cyl 1 until they are just loose on the top of the valves. Turn the engine 1/3rd of a turn then set same looseness on cyl 5, turn 1/3rd turn more, then set cyl 3, turn 1/3 more and set cyl 6, turn 1/3rd more and set 2 and finally 1/3rd and cyl 4.

Leave the rocker cover off and start the engine...do not over rev it!

You will hear lots of "clacky" noise....start to slowly turn down 1/4 turn at a time, on each rocker nut until each valve stops clacking...dont over tighten any of the rockers...the engine will start to run rough...
