I have been watching the Hagerty shows on youtube with the early 50's? pickup. The main guy explains he's just making it run and work (NOT RESTORING) just fixing what doesn't work. Sure looks like a lot more fun. Just work on the things that matter in the moment. Been down the show car road before, not worth the time and effort to me anymore.

If the bottom pic is the body on your current truck, it looks great. Id drive the wheels off of it.
