If nothing happens with starting fluid it is safe to assume you have no spark.
I would be betting on the ignition module inside the distributor. I have enough issues I keep a spare in the glove box.Of course it could be cap, rotor etc. but I would still bet on the module being bad.
If you have a tachometer and it doesn't move that that is good indication the module in bad.
