Those (all) step bumpers were dealer installed or bought by the owner after the purchase.

Most as you can see by the batch of different ones were pretty well regional made by aftermarket suppliers.
I think Perry bumper company made a lot of the ones sold in Texas in their Waco plant. I'm not sure if they made the ones that had the Dealer name and town etched into them though. .

My 71 GMC was sold new in this area and my uncle bought it from the local Dodge in August of 1978 (actually traded carpenter work for it0 has what appears to be A Barden bumper on it. My uncle had someone weld the thick steel plate on it so he could tow my cousin's horse to rodeos and parades when she was Rodeo queen.

My son and I bolted an welded the reciever to it after I got it running. Not sure what the notch on the right side was for but it was there when my aunt gave me the truck.
