That was one of the threads i looked into. I had purchased some of the flexible foam stuff and i did a little trial run with it. The foam definitely expands great but i was worried it would push the hood sheet metal outward too much. The guy i talked to does this stuff for a living and seems pretty reputable, so hopefully his method works.

I think 1k seam sealer I’m using should have enough flex in it and be pretty durable. I just used a dab of it about every 6 inches. Definitely got rid of the vibrating/popping sheet metal. We shall see how it holds up...
I think your idea could work. I think the key is making sure they can move independent of each other. The hood in my opinion is the most finicky panel for body work.
