I had to bring it off the firewall because the pedal hit the floor before a full stroke. I have in the past cut and bent the pedal linkage to achieve the same result but doing that I had to be careful of the welding and grinding heat, it would melt the plastic of the pedal.

Initially I was thinking about something like this ..... but really the position as it stands right now isnt bad ..... I can probably put s small spacer/washer on the backside of the bottom bolt and call it done. Then just paint.
