Pulled the belts off, and still the same noise. Thanks for the suggestion
Might check the 'new' carb for missing screws, nuts and parts. Maybe something was loose and is now rattling around in a cylinder. Since the noise seems to come from #8, pull the plugs for both 6 & 8 and check for damage or other weirdness.

I checked the old carb and nothing was missing, going to pull the new one off today and check it if I can get some time. Also going to pull the plugs and just double check all is well. I will post back with my findings. If nothing after this I'm guessing a compression check.

I forgot about that old trick, I will do that today as well.
