Wow! Great advice, Boog. Hard to believe they can go so bad, so quickly. Glad you caught it before it caught you.
A few years ago I finally replaced the last remaining original tire on my K20. It was a nearly bald highway tire, 7.50-16, that was in the spare position when I bought the truck in 1977.
It still held air and the rubber looked good, no cracking or checking.
