I've been doing a lot of reading on these overdrives lately because I recently found one that I intend to put in my truck.
Regarding the blown overdrive fuse, I've read that a possible cause is that the solenoid is not switching from the "pull" coil in the solenoid to the "hold" coil, so it continues to draw the larger amount of initial amperage that the actuation requires. If that is the case, it should just be a simple adjustment of the contacts in the solenoid that disengage the "pull" coil to remedy the problem.
